Your holidays along the beautiful rivers and canals

The Barton Turns Marina is your starting point for your cruising holidays. There are several routes you can take on the canals or on the river.

The Marina is connected to the Trent and Mersey Canal and is less than one mile from the A38 at
Barton-under-Needwood.

Barton Turns Marina

Our unique location places us close to the footpaths and nature walks around the National Forest Lakes, open to all. However you may prefer to stay moored in the marina and use the boat as a base to explore by car.

The Marina has become a fantastic tourist attraction where it is possible to not only sit and watch the narrowboats pass by but to also take in the beautiful scenery of the National Forest.

This therefore makes this site one of the most relaxing at which to moor in the Midlands.

Narrowboat cruising is a physically active holiday and requires able-bodied adults to operate the locks.
